Currently, I am taking a course at Ramapo College of New Jersey called 'Politics and the Media', and we are focusing on the importance of weblogs. We are to create our own blogs on a topic of our choice. I chose the rain forests because they interest me, and I would like to learn more information on about them and get some feedback from you. Around the world, rain forests are facing a lot of problems and not enough is being said about this. Sometimes it is hard to identify with the problems that occur in regions which we are not a part of because we are not directly affected by them. Although we might have these feelings, we must focus on these problems because even though we might not be affected directly, our actions can be detrimental to areas. The destruction of rain forests is damaging to civilization and life in general, so it should be a concern that we give the proper attention to it.
